After a much needed night’s sleep we meet in the hotel lobby and drove to a snowy Austria. Before heading to the gig we checked into our hotel – an ensuite bathroom is pretty standard, but it’s always nice to have a room complete with ensuite patio and pond…
The venue was called Bluesiana, but we were slightly concerned by the sign on the side of the building…
… we played here last year and I was pretty sure I would have remembered a small detail such as an audience dressed in white sheets!
I’d been looking forward to this show ever since I heard we were doing it. The owners are lovely, the audience is enthusiastic… but all of that fades into insignificance when compared to the real perk of the gig – our dressing room comes equipped with a bowling alley!
We had a great gig, after which Simon and myself embarked on a bowling tournament that ran into the early hours of the morning…
