Today was the first of two days off – a chance to do any last minute practice, sort out pedals/equipment and relax a bit before heading off to Japan for the first gig of the year. Simon went to collect his car from the car park where it’d be locked in overnight, he returned without incident – no fine or clamp to deal with. When he got back we went for a leisurely lunch at a local Italian restaurant.
I spent much of the day practicing – it’s been a while since I played guitar seriously and it feels great to be back on top of my playing again. My fingers are suffering a little, but nothing that a healthy layer of superglue won’t fix (my secret weapon against cuts and blisters).
