A nice relaxing day before the day of the first gig…
Bruce showed us around his hometown – 1st stop, the House of Guitars (or HOG)… a shop crammed with vintage and rare guitars.
As soon as I walked in the door I was worried… I knew I had to save for my planned trip to Uganda in August, and so was on my guard against the seductive charms of these exotic creatures of passion. But then it happened… I picked one up… just for a little play. The temptress in question was an electric Sitar. Needless to say, the rest of the tour has been ever so slightly tinted with an Indian flavour (I’ve not managed to fit it into the show yet though).
Following this, Carl, Stuart and I went round George Eastman’s house (Mr Kodak). There was an amazing photography exhibition on display there (to be honest, I wasn’t really into seeing some rich guy’s enormous house – but the exhibitions were great).
After being thoroughly inspired by some of the most creative photography I’ve ever seen, we went to Bruce’s house for a pre-tour meal.
