  1. Great CP show in Minnesota Tuesday night. I’m an ELP fan for 40+ years and had some reservations before the show. But simply blown away and so glad Palmer is still holding the torch high. Also cool to find out you’re connected to Neal Morse & Spock’s Beard. Enjoyed hearing / seeing your awesome talent!

  2. Saw you guys in Kent Ohio. Such an amazing group of musicians! On your solo was it Tomita’s Arabesque you were playing?

  3. It sure was great seeing you at Morsefest 2018–you were very entertaining and it was obvious that you were having the time of your life. Made me laugh! Outstanding show, btw. Always enjoyed your solos with Neal, Ajalon, and your old friend Dave Brons. I greatly enjoy your music, energy, and the FUN you bring. Keep up the great work, Paul!

  4. Thanks so much for your comment Cristiana, I’m so pleased to hear the concert had such a positive effect on you, thanks for taking the time to tell me. Always remember that music is expression and art – it’s not supposed to be perfect. “Perfect” music is boring, and that makes it far from perfect!

  5. Ciao! You played yesterday in Martirano and I waved hi like a weird when you showed up at the window before going away (I would have loved talking to you guys but I know how these thing work). I won’t be telling you how much you have amazed us and how freakin’ good you are on the stage (oops, I just did!), what I’d really like you to know is that I have been stuck for a bunch of years now, as a perfectionist musician who never gets to see herself worthy enough of the majesty of MUSIC, and -let’s say-
i am facing a dark period. Well. You and Mr Palmer awakened something in me after a long time and I think for a musician this is one of the greatest things to say, I mean, that you’ve impressed someone so much that you make ’em feel like PLAY MUSIC (again, in this case). So, just thank you man, from the depths. :)

  6. Hi Paul, on holiday in Italy i saw two billboards pamflets on a wall in Perugia announcing two shows. The one on the 3rd of july i could have caught, but no tickets available, bummer!!! Turned out it was two pamflets for the 23th of july show partially overlapping on the wall ;-( instead i’ve bought the latest live cd/dvd of ELP legacy in Rome for €13,50 wayyyy toooo cheap. Will enjoy that one bach home in a week. Hope to catch you soon in “the boerderij venue” again soon in The Netherlands, your playing is unbelievable and keeps my ELP heart rushing!!!

  7. Thanks Don, it was a fun gig. I really enjoy the variety of venues we play – every one is unique and makes for a different show dynamic.

  8. Thanks very much Alan, glad we didn’t disappoint! Carl has SO much energy I don’t think he’ll ever be over the hill – he’s going to outlive us all! :o)

  9. Thanks so much Brett, I’m really glad you enjoyed the show, I’m always delighted to gain the approval of a keyboard player! Hope to see you at another show in future. :o)

  10. Haha thanks Deidre! Was lovely to meet you at the Coach House, you were at a really good show – definitely a highlight of the tour. Can’t wait to play there again! :o)

  11. Hi Paul. I saw you last week in Sacramento, CA, was completely blown away. As a keyboardist, I was surprised, and saddened at first that there were no keyboards.. that is until you started playing, and I spent the rest of the night in slack-jawed awe. I found myself wondering “who the f**k IS this guy?!” I found your website, and read your bio, which was fascinating. I am the adoptive father of an ADHD kid, and understand completely the hyper-focus you referred to. I loved the energy and joy of playing you out while on stage. When I was on stage the other night, I thought of your performance, and reminded myself to try to be more dynamic in my stage presence, like you were. Thank you for an awesome show I won’t soon forget.

  12. You said hi to me from the balcony at the CoachHouse in SJC, CA. I guessed you might be the guitar player and hella awesome one you are at that! And you flirt with the audience. Such s Scorpio. Simon is playing now and you are taking a break. He’s great but I miss you already. Rock on!

  13. I loved your show in Portland last night. ELP is probably my all time favorite band and I was really hesitant to hear their music with just strings. Also I have heard two over the hill musicians and hesitant to spend money on possibly a third. But Carl Palmer was just as great as ever and I was amazed that you and Simon pulled off the music. Great job and thank you for a great show!

  14. Thanks so much John, CTTE was a blast wasn’t it?! I’m still having withdrawals. Hope to see you onboard next year, or at one of our shows before then.

  15. Haha thanks Jim, I just had to google “Lang may yer lum reek”! Glad you enjoyed the show, we had a lot of fun too. Always great to play Scotland – such great audiences there. I hope we’ll come back to Kinross, and hopefully see you there. :)

  16. Thanks very much Harry, that was a fun gig – not least because it was my birthday! Glad you enjoyed the show. Hopefully see you again in the future. :)

  17. Paul, watched the concert last night at Howden and was blown away by he interpretations of classic ELP songs. Already looking forward to seeing you and CP again in the future. Thanks for an amazing evening.

  18. Hi Paul. Saw you at Kinross in Scotland recently. Fantastic guitar work. Simon was also excellent. Thanks for the autographs. Who was your backing drummer? You have a fantastic career ahead. Lang may yer lum reek and come back to Scotland soon – Jim

  19. Hey Paul, not on FACEBOOK much anymore, but I wanted you to know I finally read every word of your BIO…Now, I’m even more impressed…Well done so far Mister B.

  20. Yeah, Chet Atkins is great! You’re right, I first got turned on to his playing through the album he did with Mark Knopfler – Neck and Neck. Such a great album!

  21. Paul, amazing performance in St.Catharines, Canada. Thank you for inspiring me, listening to ELP for over 43 years brought me back to my childhood of great memories.

  22. Saw you in St Catharines Ontario tonight. Detected some Chet Akins influence in your solo material. Read your bio and saw that you played (learned), all of Mark Knoflers stuff. One of his influences was the Great Chet Kins….as was Steve Howe’s. Great gig tonight.

  23. Saw you with Carl Palmer in Cleveland Sunday. You are so tight with him that you two could splint an atom together. WOW

  24. Awesome Show Saturday Night With Carl Palmer. You & Simon Are BOTH Amazing In The Fact That You Are Onstage With ROCK ROYALTY Yet You Both More Than Hold Your Own. Carl KNOWS Talent & You & Simon Have It In ABUNDANCE. Also It Was COOL That We Were At The Table Next To You @ MOLLY MAGUIRES Before The Show. Until We All Cross Paths Again, SAFE TRAVELS !!!

  25. Just got back from your show in Jim Thorpe, PA at the Mauch Chunk Opera House. Serious, serious props, Paul, you are an AWESOME guitarist. It was nice to say hi to you and Carl after the show, too. I’m still amazed at your talent for one so young.

  26. Caught your show last week in Newton, NJ. We were absolutely blown away. Having been ELP fans since our teen-age years, my wife and are were completely jazzed to to see Carl Palmer. What we didn’t expect was the completely mind-blowing show we got. Your and Simon’s interpretations – on guitar and bass – of what normally is a very keyboard heavy genre of music, were not only spot-on, but enlightening as I now have a new perspective on ELP’s catalog, as well as all the classical pieces on Preludes and Etudes. I look forward to the next opportunity to see you and Paul together in concert again. Peace.

  27. I saw you with Carl Palmer last night at The Egg in Albany NY, what a show. You were amazing, I couldn’t believe we were seeing a performance of ELP music, and when I walked in there was no keyboard setup. You and Simon are fantastic, I am a a fan. All I can say is you are an amazing talent, best of luck in your career, and I am now a fan, I was blown away!

    Best of luck to you!

  28. Thanks very much Brian, we had a great time too – what an amazing town! Can’t wait to go back. Paul :o)

  29. Dear Paul – it was so awesome seeing you play in Delray with Carl – YOU are totally amazing and seemed to be channeling YOUR and everyone else’s Rock Star Vibe. Well done!

  30. Thanks Juro, we had a great time – I always enjoy playing the Blue Note. Looking forward to the next time we can play there! :o)

  33. Thank you, all three of you for the wonderful performance last Saturday at ‘het Patronaat’ in Haarlem. More than two hours of craftmanship resulting into fantastic music! Carl Palmer’s endurance is incredible, olympic topsport. Perfect evening!

  39. Having signed up for lessons with Paul (now on my third), I can honestly say that he is the most inspiring music teacher I’ve ever had. If you’re thinking of having lessons with Paul, just do it!

  40. Hey Zach, thanks so much for your lovely comment. I’m so pleased you enjoyed the show and it’s such an honour that I could be considered an inspiration to you – it really means a lot. :o)

  41. Thank you for the awesome show at the Studio. Being able to sit and enjoy a conversation with you was the best part.

  42. I was at your show with Carl in NC and just wanted to say that I used to aspire to be like Eddie VH as a guitarist (I’ve taken the same path as you so far, minus the gymnastics ;) I’m only 13) and now I just want to be you!
